Valentino E. Rivera, CPA built VR Tax & Consulting on an ethic he learned early: the people who most need good tax help are usually the ones the industry serves worst. He decided to be the exception — and never stopped.
Valentino launched his career in an IRS program that provides tax preparation services — free of charge — to poor and underserved members of the community. Sitting across the table from families who couldn't afford a preparer, he learned to explain the tax code in plain language and to treat every return like it mattered, because for those families it absolutely did. The IRS recognized him for the public service he contributed to his community.
He carried that foundation into public accounting, working at multiple CPA firms and earning his BS in Accounting and CPA license along the way — adding business returns, complex planning, and representation work to the toolkit.
VR Tax & Consulting was founded in 2019 to deliver big‑firm expertise with community‑clinic care: a full range of professional services, individual attention, and a fair price. Valentino annually attends continuing professional education with an emphasis on taxation, financial reporting, tax resolution, and accounting information systems.
Years of focus on accounting information systems positioned the firm for the biggest shift the profession has seen. Today VR Tax & Consulting pairs its traditional practice with hands‑on AI consulting — automation, analytics, and tax‑credit discovery — so small businesses get the same technological edge big companies buy.
